Since they are in my photos so much, I have to share some information about my two little fur babies. When we moved back to America after a tour in Germany, we promised the kids we could get a puppy. I was reluctant, since I knew they were a big responsibility and frankly did not want to clean up after them all of the time. The housetraining, the fur, the slobber. . . it’s a bit much for a non-dog owner to come to terms with. We started talking about they type of dog we wanted in our life. Our list included: low fur maintenance, medium sized, likes family and kids, all around friendly, but trainable. He or she had to be something my in-laws could pick up and hug, but not so small that my youngest daughter would hurt it by picking it up.
If I never have to use painters tape and drop cloths again in my life, I would be okay with that. I, with out fail, always manage to paint my hair, face and bottoms of my feet every time I pick up a roller. Painting is this weekend’s project. And last weekend’s project… and the weekend before. Honestly, next time I’m just going to hire a pro. Or not ever sell a house again. There’s that option too. As of today, we have burned through 15 gallons of paint and stain in the last month. And we still have at least 6 more gallons left to go for the porch and trim in the house. You’d think I’d be better at this, but no chance for that.
The Hubby and I have been talking for a while now on what company we were going to choose to be our realtor. To be honest, our credit union has a great program that cuts refunds back to you some of commission your realtor gets from the sell of the house. We have found though, from our experience that most of the realtors who opt in for this program are inexperienced and are trying to drum up business for a good reputation. We don’t want to risk having a not so good realtor putting our house on the market so we have been shopping around on our own and won’t be using this program.
Last weekend’s post was late due to loss of my
sanity camera. I blame it on the camera, but truthfully, I just didn’t have the time! Thankfully it was just in the hubby’s truck and not actually loss. I love that little point and click. This past Saturday, our family took a break from the packing and just chilled. It was everything we hoped it would be and more! At this point, I would say we are about 75% ready to put our house on the market. So what did we do with our Saturday? A little bit of everything! We started out by wearing a little pink and taking the dogs to a “Making Strides Walk”. It was a lot of fun and there was so much energy. I love taking those rascals to events like this. They always end up with lots of smiles and pats. Max was really freaked out with the large crowd, but Mini loves it all!
Cruisin’ the Coast has hit Biloxi, Mississippi! This weekend has been so much fun because of it too! This is such a big event for the area, and all of the Mississippi Gulf Coast is packed with beautiful fun cars every October. If you are a motor head, this is the place for you! So what did I do for Cruisin’ the Coast? Well, I like cars but not that much. There is so much more to do here in Biloxi, Mississippi than Cruisin’ the Coast. So even though I have lived here most of my life, there are still landmarks I haven’t seen. With the impending move, I’ve started to take my final tour of the Biloxi landmarks.
